Haines Junction
Located at the junction of the Haines Cutoff & the Alaska Highway, Haines Junction is a stone's throw away from Kluane National Park.
 

Annual Outdoor Events
On January 1 weather permitting, Haines Junction brings in the new year with the Annual New Year's Day Snowmachine Poker Run. The three to four hour return trip goes to Bear Creek Summit and back.

In March, Haines Junction hosts the Silver Dog Sled Race which consists of a two-day, 100 mile (161 km) race to Silver City and back, two 15 mile (24 km) sprint races, one day of skijoring, and a one-dog weight-pull contest.

In June, the Kluane Chilkat International Bike Relay wheels its way from Haines Junction to Haines, Alaska. Eight-person, four-person, two-person and solo teams participate the 148 mile (238.28 km) event with eight stages.
